The Umbrellas by Zongolopoulos
The impressive sculpture of Zongolopoulos that was first placed on the waterfront in 1997 as part of "Thessaloniki Cultural Capital of Europe". A landmark for the city along with White Tower that catches the attention of every visitor. Centrally located on the sea front, 700 meters from the apartment (9 minutes walk).

Metro Station 'Venizelou'
The station is an underground museum of the Hellenistic and Roman Byzantine Thessaloniki, and visitors and passengers can view the archaeological findings from up close and be 'transported' to the commercial center of the city, as it was in Roman and Byzantine times.

Argo En Plo bar
A boat-bar in pirate style that conducts daily 30-minute cruises in the Thermaikos gulf.

Cine Apollon
A summer cinema in the heart of the city, just 200 meters from the apartment (2min walk). A beautiful and neat space with a nice selection of movies.

Aristotelous Square
The infamous square of the city is a point of reference for residents and visitors alike. It is located at a distance of 2 km from the apartment. Around Aristotelous square exist cafes and restaurants that start serving from early morning until late at night at all times of the year. The square is a point of interest for all visitors to the city center.

Church of Agia Sofia
One of the oldest and most important Christian churches in the city. It is located at the junction of Agia Sophia street and Ermou street.

Rotonda & Arch of Galerius
The Rotonda (or Rotunda) is a 4th century cylindrical structure in Thessaloniki, similar to the Pantheon in Rome. It was built in the years of Emperor Galerius around 304, and it was intended as the Mausoleum of Galerius. However, due to the death of Galerius in 311, the Rotunda was left empty, unused.
The Arch of Galerius (or Kamara) is located a short distance from the Rotunda. It is a building of the 4th century a.d.
How to get there: Take the metro from 'Efkleidis' station and exit at 'Sintrivani' station.

Byzantine Castle
The Byzantine castles is a complex of walls and towers in the upper part of the city which formed the fortification of the Byzantine city. You can have a panoramic view of the city from the triangle tower at Agios Pavlos.

Heptapyrgion
Inside the Acropolis of the city and on the north-eastern side of its walls is the Heptapyrgion, which constitutes a fortified section of it. It was built in the 14th century AD by the Byzantines. It was used for the safe retreat of the population in cases of attacks and raids. During the 1890s the fort was converted into a prison.

Ladadika District
A historical district located on the east side of the port with picturesque streets, and full of great restaurants, bars, pubs and clubs. It is one of the busiest locations of the city on Friday and Saturday night.

Mediterranean Cosmos
Mediterranean Cosmos is the largest shopping mall of the area with 200 shops, 30 restaurants & cafes, cinema and an escape room.

Tsimiski str.
Tsimiski Street is the best known commercial street of Thessaloniki and hosts a variety of shops, pastry shops - cafes and a small shopping center called 'Plateia'.
